Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has promised that Russia will not succeed in its war against his country.
In the two months since Russia began its invasion, its forces have used more than 1,100 rockets and countless bombs against Ukraine, Zelensky said in a video posted late Monday night.
“But they have not achieved anything. And they will not achieve anything,” he said.
The Russian units have met “crumbs” of support in eastern Ukraine, despite their expectations, the Ukrainian president added.
Residents in Kherson, Kahovka, Melitopol, Enerkhodar and other cities occupied by Russian troops did not surrender to the Russian armed forces, Zelensky said.
