THE Volodymyr Zelensky made a new appeal to European leaders to impose new sanctions on Vladimir Putin for war in Ukraineas he considers it the “only measure that the Russian president realizes”.
According to the Athens News Agency, the Ukrainian president spoke for about 10 minutes via video call at the Summit in Brussels and called on Europeans to remain united as well as to reach an agreement on the sixth package of sanctions as soon as possible.
He also noted that many children have lost their lives between the fifth and sixth package of sanctions, while emphasizing that the path of sanctions is the only one that Vladimir Putin understands.
It is noted that shortly before the start of the Summit, Kyriakos Mitsotakis noted that he will inform about the Turkish provocationas according to a post the Turkish president can ask for recognition of the Pseudo-Stateas a counterweight to allow Sweden and Finland to join NATO over Russian invasion of Ukraine.
