Zelensky says Russia made attack with drones and asks for pressure on Putin

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia launched more than 40 drones on Tuesday night, reaching civil infrastructure. According to the Ukrainian leader, the attack shows that the pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin should continue for peace.

“It is precisely these Night attacks from Russia that destroy our energy systems, our infrastructure, the normal life of Ukrainians,” Zelensky said in a publication in the Telegram Message app.

“Putin rejected the proposal for a complete ceasefire.

Zelensky referred to a proposal for the United States ceasefire agreement. The statement comes after a connection between Putin and US President Donald Trump.

Trump described the conversation as “very good and productive.” “We agree with an immediate ceasefire throughout the energy and infrastructure system, with the understanding that we will work quickly to have a complete ceasefire and then an end to this horrible war between Russia and Ukraine,” he said in a publication on the social network.

Following the connection between Trump and Putin early on Tuesday (18), Kremlin and White House announced that Russia agreed to pause attacks on Ukraine’s electric system for 30 days.

The White House also stated that Trump and Putin agreed to seek a “lasting peace” in Ukraine.
