Zelensky says Russian attack destroyed airport in western Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russian missiles completely destroyed the civilian airport in Vinnytsia, in the western region of the country, on Sunday (6).

He released the information in a video posted on his official Twitter.

Earlier, officials said emergency services were working to put out fires at the airport caused by rocket attacks.

Also this Sunday (6), Zelensky that Russian forces are preparing to bomb the city of Odessa, on the Ukrainian coast of the Black Sea.

“Rockets against Odessa? This will be a war crime,” he said in a televised speech.

On Sunday, an exit crossing point for civilians trying to escape from the Irpin district, west of Kiev, Ukraine’s capital, was attacked. International media were filming at the scene when what appears to have been an artillery shell landed. At the time, a stream of people was passing through the checkpoint. There are no immediate details of casualties yet.
