Zelensky: Ukraine can not stop the war alone – People must act before it is too late

A new appeal to the rest of the world to take action before it is “too late” was addressed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with Sky News, adding that his country can not stop the war alone and resist in Russia.

Speaking to Sky News special correspondent Alex Crawford inside the presidential office in Kyiv, Zelensky reiterated his call on the West to impose a no-fly zone over Ukraine.

He even accused the countries of being indecisive in the issue of “closing” the airspace of Ukraine against those whom he called “Nazi”.

“If you are united against the Nazis and this terror, you must close (the airspace). Do not expect me to ask for it many times, a million times. Close the airspace,” he said.

Asked about Western concerns about the possibility of a no-fly zone escalating the conflict and leading to a direct confrontation with Russia that would worsen the situation, he replied: “Worse for whom? For our families? No … For them …? Who knows? Nobody knows, but we know very well that the situation is very bad now, and in the future it will be too late.

“Believe me, if it is extended, you will see … they will close the airspace but we will lose millions of people.”

He added: “World War III will start and only then will you create a no-fly zone – but it will be too late.”
