Zelensky with ambassadors of the G7 and the European Union went to the Luhansk region: photo

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy with the ambassadors of the G7 countries and the European Union visited the Luhansk region. In the village of Melovoe, they laid flowers at the Eternal Flame in the memorial complex “Ukraine – Liberators” on the occasion of the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation. This was reported by the press service of the President’s Office.

Zelensky also examined the Memorial Bell on the territory of the memorial. This is the first of four bells, the installation of which the President initiated a year ago.

Four bells should symbolize the memory of the victims and reconciliation between the countries – participants of the Second World War: the Memorial Bell in Melovoe, the Victory Bell in Transcarpathia, as well as the Peace Bell in Donetsk and the Unity Bell in Simferopol, which will be installed after the return of the temporarily occupied territories under control Ukraine, the OP reported.

Zelensky also spoke with local residents and congratulated them on the upcoming Victory Day over Nazism.

On May 6, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg visited Donbass. On that day, Russian mercenaries fired at the positions of the Ukrainian military near Novotroitsky – one soldier was killed, another was wounded.
