Zepp Health has renamed the Mi Fit app to Zepp Life. Users don’t have to worry

At the end of March this year, users of Mi Band, Mi Watch and Mi Scale devices found on the screens of their smartphones the icon of the new Zepp Life application instead of the already familiar Mi Fit.

The manufacturer of these fitness devices, Huami, a technology partner of Xiaomi, began its rebranding a year ago – in March 2021, the company changed its name to Zepp Health. The new name of the application – Zepp Life – logically completed the formation of a single brand ecosystem. The transition to Zepp Life occurs automatically with the Mi Fit update, and instead of Mi Fit 5.6.0, the user immediately receives Zepp Life 6.0.0.

Zepp Life is more than a fitness app

Xiaomi and Zepp Health, in a strategic partnership, are jointly developing products for the comprehensive care of users’ health. Zepp Life is evolving into a healthy lifestyle ecosystem and goes beyond the usual fitness app. Now with its help it will become even more convenient to track more vital health criteria and make the quality of life even higher.

Zepp Health will continue to support the connection and use of Mi Watch, as well as all compatible Xiaomi devices, including the Mi Smart Band and Mi Smart Scales series.

At the same time, Zepp Health designs and manufactures wearable devices not only for Xiaomi, but also under its own Amazfit brand. Today, the two players are collaborating in a strategic partnership in chip design, algorithm research, and technological advancement in smart wearables.

Denis O., user of Mi devices: “In March, the app on my smartphone was automatically renamed Zepp Life. Using it is as convenient as before: I can measure all the indicators I need as usual. Let’s see what interesting features will be added in the future.”

Understanding the Zepp Health Ecosystem

Zepp Health originally produced Xiaomi Mi Band fitness trackers. Subsequently, she switched to the production of wearable devices under the Amazfit brand. Huami morphed into Zepp Health last year. To date, Zepp Health has shipped over 200 million devices and its products are available in over 90 countries.

Zepp Health is an artificial intelligence-based digital health management platform powered by the Zepp OS, biometric sensors and big data algorithms. Through the use of cloud solutions, Zepp Health can provide recommendations 24/7 in real time. This helps users to monitor the indicators that are important to them and adjust them in a timely manner in order to achieve the most healthy state of the body.

The company is also applying its AI expertise to new industrial medical imaging technologies and bringing big data and analytics capabilities to medical and diagnostic service providers.

The Zepp app was created and operated by Zepp Health and supports Zepp Health smart wearables, including Zepp smartwatches, Amazfit smartwatches and wristbands, Amazfit TWS headphones, and health and fitness devices.

So far, there have been no major changes in the functionality of the application – they will be implemented a little later. At the moment, the main goal of the company is a comfortable and seamless migration of users to a new application. But Zepp Life will soon have updated features covering health and fitness, which will be available to all users of Xiaomi wearables, Amazfit and Zepp Health. Most likely, this will happen in a few months – by the time the devices of the new Mi Band 7 series are released, scheduled for the first half of 2022.
