Zepp OS vs Amazfit OS: the new Amazfit GTR 3 and Amazfit GTS 3 compared in terms of runtime with Amazfit GTR 2 and Amazfit GTS 2

Following the announcement of the Zepp OS operating system, the manufacturer announced that it will be more energy efficient than Amazfit OS. Yesterday, the Amazfit GTR 3 and Amazfit GTS 3 smartwatches were announced, which run the new operating system. And their runtimes are really much better than their predecessors.

As shown in the table below, the Amazfit GTR 3, even with a smaller battery capacity, has an additional 7 days of battery life compared to its predecessor in normal use. With heavy use, it also gets an extra 3.5 days of battery life, which is impressive too. Surprisingly, in power saving mode, its battery life is 3 days shorter.

The Amazfit GTS 3 has a larger display than its predecessor and a slightly larger battery. In typical use, its battery life is 5 days longer than that of the Amazfit GTS 2. It also lasts an additional 2.5 days in heavy use compared to its predecessor. In power saving mode, both smartwatches have the same battery life.
