Εφ. Ahtsioglou: No anemic pre-election allowance hides Mitsotaki’s responsibilities

“Insufficient allowances” that fail to “substantially relieve” the citizens characterized the measures announced today by the government for fuel accuracy, the Head of Finance of SYRIZA-PS, Efi Ahtsioglou.

“At a time when Greece has the worst relationship between fuel costs and wages in Europe. At a time when Greece has one of the most expensive fuel prices in the world. “There is no way to substantially relieve workers, households and small and medium-sized enterprises,” he said.

As he stated, “the allowance of 21.6 euros per month – or 26.6 euros using a digital card – for the mainland areas where gasoline is at 2.5 euros per liter, as well as the allowance of 28.3 euros per – or 33.3 euros using a digital card – for the island regions where gasoline is close to 3 euros per liter, confirm that this government neither wants nor can give breath to the citizens who are suffocating from the sweeping wave of precision in all flat”.

“It is obvious that Mr. Mitsotakis is not interested in reducing prices. He is interested in setting up a mechanism of pre-election deception of the citizens. In vain now”, he commented, emphasizing that “nothing can hide his responsibility for the robbery in the citizens’ income which has been evolving for a year “.

“The refusal to reduce the VAT on fuel and VAT on food, the refusal to increase the minimum wage to 800 euros, the subsidy of notoriety instead of imposing a ceiling on the wholesale and retail price of electricity and gas, the uncontrolled cartel operation in the market are political choices. Choices to impoverish society “, he noted and concluded:

“The sooner the super-profit government leaves, the faster society and the real economy will breathe.”
