10 love triangles that ended well and not so well in the movies

We all do the victory dance when in the movies or series, the characters who loved each other from the beginning overcome all adversities and end up together in their “lived happily ever after.” We cannot deny that we sigh every time they kiss.

However, we also have to admit that we secretly love love triangles, because some end very well and others really bad. For this reason we present you the characters who were wrong and those who were right when choosing their partner.

1. Edward – Bella – Jacob

Twilight scene in which they are beautiful, Edward and Jacob

We could not start the list without the characters of the most famous love triangle of recent times. It may be that Jacob had nothing compared to Edward, who by the way took almost a century to find love, but we have to admit that he was a faithful boy and that he would also have given his life to save Bella from any danger. We are still deciding who was best for her and we will never win that argument.

2. Ron – Hermione – Harry

Harry Potter scene with Ron, Hermionie and Harry together

Yes, we know there would never have been anything between Harry and Hermione, but it’s beautiful to think that the two of them could have had a perfect relationship. Viktor Krum wasn’t the ideal guy for her either because he was a bit clumsy, but why Ron? Hell, anyone would have been perfect, but Ron, no. Even JK Rowling said she regretted leaving Hermione in Ron’s arms and not Harry’s. It is that they should have had their “happily ever after.”

3. Noa – Allie – Lon

Scene from the film diary of a passion in which they are Noa, Allie and Lon

Allie’s heart was destined for Noa’s from the first moment they saw each other, even he built her the house she always dreamed of and never forgot even though he sent her hundreds of letters that she never responded to. But Lon was not to blame that fate had separated them and Allie had no reason to excite him, as he was a decent guy. Even so, we are so happy that your choice was Noa.

4. Gale – Katniss- Peeta

Hunger Games Characters Together in a Photoshoot

Gale was always the guy who was there for Katniss, technically he was the one who saved and defended her. Yes, the games forced them to separate and her to pretend she was with Peeta, but at what point did the love arise between the two of them? We still have a hard time understanding how Katniss preferred Peeta to the sexy, outgoing, brave, handsome and charismatic Gale… Anyway, how could you quit, Katniss ?!

5. Mark – Bridget – Daniel

Scene from Bridget Jones's Diary with the main characters

This love triangle is one of the best ended in film history. All three had flaws that they had a hard time overcoming, but once Bridget and Mark learned to understand each other despite their blemishes, we realized they were destined for each other. Also, with Daniel out of the picture, everything was easier.

6. Jack – Rose – And Destiny

Titanic scene with Rose and Jack watching drawings

Jack was a passionate boy who believed that every day should be special. Furthermore, he saved Rose from an unhappy and loveless fate alongside her horrible fiancé. He made her live the best days of her life and fate did not have to take it from her. He was a good man! Although it hurts us that this happened, we have to accept reality because until the last minute he made sure that his beloved lived. Anyway, we hate destiny and writers.

7. Massimo – Mary – Steve

Scene from The Wedding Planner featuring JLo and Matthew McCongey

Massimo was a bit clumsy but a good boy, who proposed to Mary in a dollhouse and promised to be sincere and loyal forever. But no, she had to prefer Steve’s cheater and haughty. He probably did it because he was played by Matthew McConaughey and no one can deny his charms.

8. Bruce Wayne – Rachel – Harvey Dent

Batman scene with Rachel and Harvey having dinner

Yes, we understand that Rachel wanted all the attention, for Bruce to hang up his Batman suit to focus on her and that was the strongest reason for her to leave him, but she loved him! Harvey was a good guy too. However, he let revenge take hold of him. Anyway, Rachel didn’t keep any of them because she died, although if she had chosen one, she should always have been thinking of Bruce and not Harvey.

9. Hancock – Mary – Ray

Hancok scene where the three are having dinner

Thousands of years ago, Mary and Hancock were lovers who had the misfortune to separate. She made her living and he turned to alcohol. We all thought that when they met again, they would live happily and love each other until the end of eternity and that he would change, but it was not like that. Mary chose Ray, her sweet and unconditional boy, and we are very happy with that choice.

10. Scott – Jean Grey – Wolverine

Scene from Xmen in which Jane and Scott are inside an elevator

Jean and Scott were a perfect match! They were both the first members of the X-Men and their teamwork was incredible. Everything was fine between them, but the rude boy had to come to “win over” Jean. In the end, she was very confused by her feelings and did not end with one or the other and that was great because it is better to walk away when you are not sure what you feel.
