2GIS navigator now supports Android Auto mode

The 2GIS cartographic service announced stable support for the Android Auto car interface. A dedicated in-car mode has been tested in beta since last November and is now available in the mobile app for all users. The company claims that 2GIS was the first Russian navigator to receive support for Android Auto.

“2GIS” on Android Auto allows you to search for addresses and companies on city maps and work with the navigator using voice commands so as not to be distracted from the road. Functions such as building a route to home or work and calling from the application can be done in one click (it is necessary to activate voice input). The navigator announces the maneuvers for the driver, shows traffic jams and automatically specifies the presence of parking lots near the final destination of the route.
