About a week ago, renderings of a promising next-generation Sony Xperia Compact smartphone appeared on the Web, and now the source has given more details about the characteristics of the device. As reported, the novelty will be built on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 775G single-chip platform and, of course, will receive a 5G modem.
The diagonal of the screen will be 5.5 inches with Full HD resolution. The main camera has only two sensors, but so far only the resolution of the main one is known – 13 megapixels. The resolution of the front camera located in the teardrop notch of the screen is 8 megapixels. Also, the smartphone is assigned stereo speakers, a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack and a USB-C port. Of course, I would like to know the capacity of the battery, since this is a very important parameter for such a compact (dimensions – 140 x 68.9 x 8.9 mm) smartphone, but this data is not yet available.
The new Sony Xperia Compact may come out in February along with the Xperia 1 III. But the debut of the novelty is not excluded in the second half of the year – in September, already together with the Xperia 5 III.
