A 21-year-old singer was murdered in a restaurant by her 79-year-old husband, whom she wanted to divorce

Tragic end found one singer just 21 years old from Mexicowhich was killed by her 79-year-old husband, with whom wanted to divorce two months ago. The young woman was found dead inside a restaurant in Mexico.

Lydia was dining at Suntory, a Japanese restaurant when her husband, Jesus Hernandez shot her in a private room last Thursday. Hernández and his bodyguard, Benjamin Hernández, were arrested at the restaurant as they tried to escape.

According to reports cited by Daily Mail, The 79-year-old tried to bribe the police so as not to arrest him.

The Mexican newspaper Exelcior reports that the folk musician had visited a well-known Mexican law firm last April in order to to initiate divorce proceedings with Jesus Hernandez, after a series of incidents edomestic violence, even presenting photos of her bruised face as evidence.

Lydya had filed a report with the police in December 2021 when the 79-year-old, as she claimed, hit her. Otherwise, he had threatened her with a gun while despite this, the singer had decided to give her wedding a second chance. It is not known how long they have been married.

A witness told Primer Impacto that the 79-year-old shot the 21-year-old girl from contact and the third bullet found her in the head.

Lydya was scheduled to perform at a concert in Glendale, California on Saturday as part of a series of concerts in Mexico and the United States featuring well-known Central and South American singers.

Both Jesús Hernández and Benjamin Hernández appeared in court for the first time on Sunday and were remanded in custody while the authorities’ investigation continues.

Jesús Hernández made a request be placed under house arrest due to his agebut was rejected by the judge at the hearing.

He pleaded not guilty and told the court that he did not kill Lydia.
