An Alabama man died on the operating table in Florida after a doctor mistakenly removed his liver during surgery, mistaking it for a spleen, the New York Post reports. William Bryan and his wife, Beverly, were at their home in Florida last month when the man suddenly began to feel pain in his lower left abdomen. The 70-year-old went to Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast Hospital in Walton County, where he was admitted for further tests due to concerns about a spleen abnormality, according to Zarzaur Law PA.
