If at the beginning of the month you happened to find you at River Cafe, the fashionable local of West London frequented by first category celebrities, you may have been lucky enough to see a real couple walking around the city. Apparently, in fact, Prince Edoardo and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh would have been among the guests at the 60th birthday of a friend of the high company, Tanya Roseat the famous Italian restaurant of Rutie Rogers on the banks of the Thames in Hammersmith.

Prince Edoardo meets Tanya (founder of Mason Rose, an important public relations agency in the travel sector) since they both attended the Gordonstoun School. The public relations expert also leads the podcast Travel Secretsin which he hosted characters of the caliber of Dominic West, Sharon Osbourne and Trinny Woodall. Evidently, Edoardo managed to keep in touch with his former schoolmate, of which he is said that he and his wife are excellent friends.

The royal couple spent the evening at the famous restaurant by Rutie Rogers, who among her customers had characters of the caliber of Gwyneth Paltrow and Ralph Fiennes.

Like many other glamorous parties before this, Tanya’s evening also took place at River Cafe, which over twenty years after opening is the favorite restaurant from the jet set (any evening of the week). For the usual visitors of the London scene, one of the most difficult aspects of Lockdown was not to have access to the sublime menu of Rutie Rogers. Judi Dench has made his post-covid debut in this meeting of celebrities with a booking at lunchtime (banqueting, it seems, with disheartening scampi by a Champagne Magnum, in the company of Stanley Tucci, equally lover of good table).

Getting a table here has always been an arduous feat, which often requires to book many months in advance (and in bizarre times, dangerously early or extremely late). The unpretentious entrances of the restaurant was crossed by many famous faces, including Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian, Gwyneth Paltrow, Gary Lineker, Linda Evangelista and Ralph Fiennes. Indeed, in addition to his table, Rogers hosted most of them also in his podcast: Elton John, Zoe Saldaña and Victoria Beckham, for example, abandoned themselves live to family dinners and first appointments.

This does not mean, however, that Edoardo and Sophie are against the celebrations: a few weeks ago, the couple participated in the traditional religious function of Easter Sunday in the Chapel of San Giorgio with the other members of the royal family, and it is likely that a relaxing break with the whole family in Windsor have been enjoyed. The previous month, the couple soberly celebrated Edoardo’s 61st birthday with an “intimate dinner” at home, a change of tone compared to the lively celebrations of 2024.

Last year, the Duchess surprised her “dear husband” with a heartfelt speech on the occasion of her 60th birthday, joking about the fact that talking about him in public, most likely, would have made him “horrified”. “My husband never goes hunting for compliments. When some recognition has come to him, it has always been a total surprise for him: that’s why I am grateful to have the opportunity, for once, to be able to celebrate him publicly and congratulate him, “he said, adding to be” very proud “of being married to Edoardo and calling him” the best of fathers “and” the most loving of husbands “.

During a southern Asia tour last February, the couple admitted smiling to journalists that they are still “best friends” after over 25 years of marriage. The two made this statement in response to the questions about the playful prickles that had been seen to exchange while planted a tree in the Godowari National Botanic Garden in Nepal. “There must always be a lot of humor,” added Sophie, according to what the Telegraph. “Especially when you travel and have no idea what to expect.” In the past, Prince Edoardo called Sophie his “rock”, while last year, during a rare television interview, he told Alan Titchmarsh: “I am incredibly lucky to have found Sophie and that she found me”.

Jennie Bond, a publishing specialized in Real, told the magazine Ok! To believe that the couple’s happy and solidarity marriage is based on solid founding principles. “I think the strength of their marriage, in addition to a healthy dose of mutual attraction and true love, is rooted in a deep and lasting friendship,” he said. «She still finds Edoardo somewhat fascinating, and I’m sure he would agree in saying that Sophie is as beautiful as it was when they got married. I think he is immensely proud of his wife ». Bond then told the magazine that the couple clearly has a “Balanced, equal and solidarity relationship”, As evidenced by the fact that notes are exchanged on their work and give support and advice to each other, and then add that Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh had been “unusually frank” (especially for a member of the royal family, notoriously rigid and reserved) on her love for her husband, and defined them as “companions both in service and in his free time”.
