As it became known, the JAC S6 crossover is ready to start selling in Russia and Kazakhstan. It will be issued at the SaryarkaAvtoProm plant, which has a Vehicle Type Approval containing specified characteristics.
Earlier we published the characteristics of the Chinese version, which differs from the Russian one. JAC S6 will be exclusively front-wheel drive crossover. Crossover with dimensions of 4605 x 1890 x 1700 mm has a wheelbase of 2720 mm.
It is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbo engine, but its power is 174 hp, not 184 hp, like the Chinese version. In this case, the torque is 280 Nm. The car will have to be filled exclusively with 95th gasoline, and not 92nd.
Buyers will be offered two options to choose from: a 6-speed “mechanics” and a 6-band “robot” with two “wet” clutches. Both suspensions are independent. Front – MacPherson, rear – multi-link. The steering is assisted by an electric power steering. The parking brake is electronic, all brake mechanisms are disc. The only tire size available is 235/55R18.
The car will receive ESP, TCS, EBD and BAS systems, power windows and climate control. Also available will be parking sensors, cruise control, reversing and all-round cameras and a panoramic sunroof.
Price and release date in Russia will be announced later.
