This Wednesday, October 13, Danish company Bang & Olufsen unveiled its new products, including speakers, headphones and home acoustics. All new items have one thing in common – high-quality sound and design in Scandinavian style.
BeoSound Level – premium speaker system
This is a premium portable speaker system with a minimalist design and modular construction, so many of the speaker elements can be easily replaced if they fail during use. The device is housed in an aluminum with pearl shavings and a bezel finished in fabric or natural oak. Inside hides a signal processing chip, proximity and light sensors, wireless adapters and speakers in the amount of five pieces (two 4-inch woofers, one 2-inch with full range coverage and two more 0.8-inch high-frequency ones), as well as an amplifier that guarantees a minimum level distortion of sound. Control is carried out using touch buttons.
Other features of the new BeoSound Level speaker system include a USB Type-C port, optical input and Ethernet. Wireless connectivity is supported by Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, being compatible with Apple AirPlay 2, Google Cast and Spotify Connect. The battery life of the device reaches 16 hours.
BeoSound Emerge – ultra-thin wireless speaker
Among the new products presented by Bang & Olufsen, there was also an ultra-thin wireless speaker, which in appearance and in size resembles a dictionary and an encyclopedia. The manufacturer claims that the designers deliberately made BeoSond Emerge look like a book so that it can be placed on a bookshelf. The column case is made using natural oak, aluminum alloy and high quality textiles. The speaker is equipped with woofer, mid-range and tweeters in sizes 100, 37 and 14 mm, respectively, as well as a built-in microphone with support for the voice assistant Google Assistant, thanks to which the speaker can be used to remotely control smart home devices – from smart TVs to cameras video surveillance and air conditioners.
The technology of active compensation deserves special attention, which, according to the creators, allows you to improve the sound, adjusting to the characteristics of a particular room. The speaker supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity using Apple AirPlay 2, Google Chromecast and Spotify Connect standards.
