A suspect in the robbery of a miner for 85 BTC was detained in Tomsk

In mid-October, a 24-year-old resident of Tomsk was robbed. Threatening with a gun, the criminals stole 85 BTC, but the police were able to detain the suspect.

On the morning of October 15, Vladislav, leaving his apartment in a house on Mokrushin Street, ran into a suspect. The offender, threatening with a pistol, entered the victim’s home, and a little later his accomplice joined him. They forced the owner of the apartment to transfer 85 BTC to the robber’s wallet.

Interestingly, Vladislav’s wallet contained 90 bitcoins in total, which he mined while mining. However, the criminals did not rip off the victim to the bone. But the criminals did not stop at bitcoins – they took the cash found in the apartment (100,000 rubles and $ 1,500), as well as a laptop.

The victim was tied up with duct tape and put on the bed. After that, one of the raiders disappeared, and the accomplice remained to follow the robbed Tomsk city. Towards evening, at the signal of an accomplice, he left Vladislav’s apartment. After the young man was released, he called the police.

More than a month later, law enforcement
managed to establish the identity of one of the suspects, and to detain him. It turned out to be 36-year-old Nikolai Arkhisov. The offender pleaded guilty and returned part of the stolen money from the cashed bitcoins – 35 million rubles. Where the rest of the money disappeared and the whereabouts of the second participant in the robbery are still unknown. It is also unclear how the hijackers learned about the bitcoin stocks of the young Tomsk city.

The Hong Kong police recently arrested the kidnappers of a cryptocurrency investor. The criminals demanded a ransom of $ 3.85 million for him.
