At least 11 people died after a bus and a trailer collided in the municipality of Vera, in Mato Grosso, this Monday (17).
According to information from the Federal Highway Police (PRF), which was triggered around 12:30 pm, after the side collision, several objects came loose and invaded the interior of the double-decker bus, while other parts fell on the roof of the bus.
The bus driver, after being rescued in serious condition and taken to a hospital in the municipality of Sorriso, had an arm amputated. The truck driver suffered minor injuries.
The Itamarati intercity bus carried 45 passengers plus the driver. The cart belonged to Frison.
“There is still a total ban in both directions,” confirmed the PRF.
