Actress received almost R $ 5 million to return as Samantha from “Sex and The City”

After much waiting, fans were able to follow the return of the character Samantha, from “Sex and The City”, in the spin-off “And Just Like That…”.

Actress Kim Cattrall made a 71-second appearance in the final episode of the second season of the series, in which she has a telephone conversation with Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker.

According to “The Times” and the “Daily Mail”, the actress would have received US$ 1 million (R$ 4.94 million) for her participation.

The spin-off series “And Just Like That…” follows Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes and Charlotte York after “Sex and The City”, now facing typical midlife issues. In season one it is revealed that Samantha has moved to London. She only participates in the season through messages and calls.

In addition to salary, the actress had one more condition to reprise her role. In an interview with “The View” in June, Kim said that she received a call from one of the executives at HBO and requested the participation of Patricia Field, the costume designer of the original series.

“It’s very interesting to get a call from the head of HBO saying, ‘What can we do?’ And I said, ‘Hmm…’” Kim said during the talk show. “Let me be creative and one of those things was bringing Pat Field back because I thought if I was going to come back I had to go back with that Samantha style, I have to push it and we did.”
