AfD congress in Saxony today and tomorrow – Thousands of protesters block its start

Under strict police guard and with thousands of people protesting against it, the Alternative for Germany (AfD) is holding its conference today and tomorrow in Rize, Saxony, from which it is expected that Alice Weidel will officially emerge as a candidate for chancellor and finalize the electoral program. Demonstrators from all over Germany arrived in the small town of Saxony from the early hours of the morning, with the aim of preventing the conference from taking place.
