After 10 months in the blue, the trade balance has a deficit of US$1.3 billion in November

The Brazilian trade balance registered a deficit of US$ 1.307 billion in November. It is the first negative result since January, that is, in 10 months. The value is also worse compared to the US$ 2 billion surplus registered in the same month last year.

The numbers were released by the Ministry of Economy this Wednesday (1). On the other hand, current trade, which serves as a thermometer for economic activity, increased 37% compared to November 2020. In total, the sum of Brazilian exports and imports was US$ 41.89 billion.

While Brazilian exports advanced 23.2%, totaling US$ 20.29 billion in November, imports totaled US$ 21,603, with an increase of 53.1%.

From January to November, the balance accumulates a positive balance of US$ 57.191 billion. The figure is 19.9% ​​higher than that registered in the same period last year and has also already surpassed the total result of 2020, when the annual surplus was US$50,393 billion.

In the first eleven months of the year, exports increased 34.9%, to US$ 256.096 billion, and imports grew 39.7%, to US$ 198.905 billion.
