In style, Katy Perry 39, said goodbye to the jury of the “American Idol” after seven seasons of the show.
For the final, held last Sunday night (19), the singer opted for a different look, composed of a gigantic skirt which brought photos of former participants of the attraction.
Beside Jack Blocker one of the finalists, the artist sang “What Makes a Woman” . During the performance, the two were suspended from a platform.
After being announced as champion, Abi Carter sang “What Was I Made For?” by Billie Eilish. Meanwhile, images of an emotional Katy alongside Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie – colleagues on the bench – were shown.

The trio joined the judging team in 2018, in the 16th season of the program. Katy's departure was announced during an interview with Jimmy Kimmel .
“I think this will probably be my last season on Idol,” she confirmed at the time. “It connected me to the heart of America, but I feel like I need to go out and feel that pulse at my own pace,” she added.
