After announcement of shows, searches for Bruno Mars grow on music platforms

Since the announcement of Bruno Mars' first shows in Brazil searches for the singer have been growing on music streaming platforms.

According to a survey carried out by CNN since May 2nd (when the first presentations were announced), the Deezer Brazil recorded peaks in the singer's growth of up to 88% of streams, that is, reproductions.

According to data from the YouTube on the 3rd and 4th of May, the number of views on Bruno Mars' channel increased, respectively, 6.84% and 7.42% compared to the 1st of May.

On May 8, producer Live Nation announced another four extra shows. After that date, Deezer also reported that Bruninho's biggest peak in listeners occurred on the 10th, the date that marks the general sale of extra dates.

YouTube also reported that the growth in searches for Bruno Mars on the platform made the artist enter the Top 100 most popular artists on Charts Brasil in the week between May 3rd and 9th.

This reinforces the fact that the Brazil is the second largest Bruno Mars consumer market in the world on Youtube second only to the United States.

According to the platform, the increase in Bruno Mars consumption was also reflected in the “Presenting Bruno Mars” playlist on YouTube Music, which brings together the biggest hits of his career.

In comparison with May 1st, the percentage of growth in streaming views increased gradually. Look:

  • May 2 (show announcement): 42.73%
  • May 3: 62.73%
  • May 8 (general ticket sales + announcement of extra dates): 65.45%
  • May 9: 73.64%
  • May 10th (general sale extra dates, biggest “peak” after May 1st): 80.9%

On Deezer, the hit “Locked Out of Heaven” was the song that grew the most, with peaks of up to 71% in streams. In the period of one year until May 14, 2024, these were the singer's most listened to songs, according to streaming:

It is also worth mentioning that after the announcement of the shows, “Locked Out Of Heaven” returned to the Billboard Brasil Hot 100. Currently, the hit is in 93rd position. According to Billboard Brasil, the singer was already on this music chart with the same single last year, when he came to the country to participate in The Town festival.

A CNN also contacted the Spotify who said he was unable to help with the data. Already the Apple Music also explained that such information is never disclosed.
