Airbnb wants the world to be more identity and surprising and has set out in search of the most incredible accommodations in the world. Not only that, it will now help finance their construction. The WOW Fund is born, unique of its kind, and worth 10 million dollars. It is aimed at designers, architects and do-it-yourself experts from all over the world with the intent to finance the 100 most creative ideas, and offer 100 people the opportunity to transform their dreams into real homes to rent on Airbnb in WOW category (one of the new categories through which you can travel on the platform, have you tried them?). Today, with around 30,000 unique accommodations worldwide, it is perhaps Airbnb’s smallest category – hard to be WOW – but not for long.
Starting today, in fact, anyone with a crazy idea can send their application to the page airbnb.it/omgfund. The 100 people with the 100 craziest proposals will receive $ 100,000 each. Entries will be reviewed by a jury made up of an authority in the field of experimental design, an architecture expert and an Airbnb super host from the WOW! Category. and will be evaluated on the basis of originality, feasibility, the type of experience that guests will have within the space and sustainability. * The Wow! opens today for a period of 30 days, until July 22 at 11:59 pm ET. The 100 beneficiaries of the fund will be selected by the jury in the coming months, with the intention of completing the new spaces next year.
