THE Alexei Navalny announced that it is in new Russian prisonsin which he is with people who have been convicted of murder, with which he emphasizes that he is the only person in the specific penitentiary with the smallest penalty.
The political critic of Putin is a prisoner in the IK-6 penitentiary in the Vladimir region and through a post on Instagram, noted that “the convicts are good. Calm and friendly. When I came here I immediately thought they were murderers. So it turned out. Almost all of them are murderers. The penalties are huge. My 9 years here is the smallest sentence, as if I were a preschooler. The average sentence is 13-15 years. There are 19 and 20 years. “These are people who have committed two murders.”
Also, as reported by the Athenian News Agency, Navalny said that with people who have been sentenced to long sentences “it is easier” to sit with them. “There is less fuss, less squabbles. “Although they themselves are very dependent on the management of the prisons,” he added.
It is noted that on March 22, a court had convicted Navalny of fraud and lack of respect for the court, imposing on him 9-year sentence in a colony of strict detainees and a fine of 1.3 million rubles.
In late May, the Russian politician announced that he had been charged with setting up an extremist organization, which carries an additional sentence of up to 15 years in prison.
