Alleged conversation between Bolsonaro and ex-minister about the operation is the subject of the CNN Debate

In a debate held by CNN this Monday (27), federal deputies Alessandro Molon (PSB-RJ) and Cabo Junio Amaral (PL-MG) commented on the content of the wiretapped call Federal police in which the former Minister of Education Milton Ribeiro told his daughter that the president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) reportedly stated that he had a “hunch” that he might be the target of an operation.

For Junior Amaral, it is natural that the president had the “expectation” of a search and apprehension against Ribeiro in view of the alleged audios revealed to the press relating the former minister to the pastors.

“Of course, after that denunciation, that recording with the pastor and that meeting, something very uncomfortable was generated for the government. Even though there is no evidence there, it is still embarrassing for the minister. It is natural that he [o presidente] imagine that an investigation could take place targeting the former minister”, argues the PL parliamentarian.

“A comment that the minister made to someone cannot be treated as fact,” adds the corporal.

Alessandro Molon, in turn, considers that the alleged conversation between the Chief Executive and his former subordinate is a “fact of greater gravity”.

“Evidently he was giving a signal to the ex-minister that he should prepare for an operation with the aim of – apparently this was the intention – to hide evidence, destroy evidence and embarrass the investigation, which could confirm a act of corruption by an ex-subordinate of his”, defends the deputy.
