Anastasiadis: Calls for pressure on Turkey to resume talks on Cyprus issue

The President of Cyprus, Nikos Anastasiadis, informed the European leaders about the provocative actions of Turkey.

According to a written statement, the Cypriot government spokesman Marios Pelekanos, Mr. Anastasiadis informed his counterparts about the recent provocative rhetoric of Turkey and the occupation regime for the new illegal actions in the enclosed area of ​​Famagusta, as well as the creation of other on the ground, the unacceptable obsession of Turkey to promote the unacceptable solution on the basis of two states, but also in general the aggressive stance of Ankara against Cyprus.

He also called on his counterparts to put pressure on Turkey to finally act responsibly, allowing the resumption of talks on resolving the Cyprus issue, based on what is provided by Security Council resolutions.
