The President of the Republic of Cyprus will have a teleconference with the Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel today at 6 pm Nikos Anastasiadis.
The teleconference takes place 24 hours before the arrival of EU High Representative Josep Borrell in Cyprus. President Anastasiadis’s talks with both Merkel and Mr Borrell are expected focus on the topic of the European Council on March 25 and 26, during which, among others, Euro-Turkish issues will be examined, as well as the EU contribution to the settlement of the Cyprus problem, as pointed out by AMPE.
On Sunday, March 7, the UN special envoy Jane Hall Luth arrives in Cyprus again, for meetings with both N. Anastasiadis and the leader of the Turkish Cypriots. Ersin Tatar, in view of the Informal Conference on the Cyprus issue on April 27-29 in Geneva.
Ms. Lout’s meeting with N. Anastasiadis is scheduled for the morning of Monday, March 8.
