Anne Heche’s son asks to take control of his mother’s assets

the eldest son of Anne Heche filed a petition to take control of the late actress’ estate.

Homer Laffoon , 20, is asking him to take control of his mother’s estate. Heche, who died last month after a car accident at age 53, had no will, according to a copy of the petition obtained by CNN.

The petition names 13-year-old Laffoon and Atlas Tupper as heirs.

“The estate consists of two (2) heirs – Homer Heche Laffoon and Atlas Heche Tupper,” the petition states “Homer Heche Laffoon is an adult and the proposed trustee. Atlas Heche Tupper is smaller.”

Heche’s car crashed into a house in Los Angeles and caught fire on August 5. She suffered a “severe anoxic brain injury”, depriving her brain of oxygen, among other critical injuries, her family and friends said in a statement to CNN at the time.

She died days later after being taken off life support.

“My brother Atlas and I lost our mother. After six days of almost unbelievable emotional changes, I was left with a deep and wordless sadness,” Lafoon said in a statement to CNN on Aug. 14.

“I hope my mother is free from the pain and starting to explore what I like to think of as her eternal freedom.”
