War and a lack of funding have stalled efforts to achieve the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which include important measures to combat climate change, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned on Friday. In 2015, the member states adopted the SDGs, 17 in number, with the main goal of ending extreme poverty and hunger in the world by 2030.
