Apple has launched an update for its Apple Music streaming service for Android devices.
This includes Lossless Audio and Spatial Audio, which became available for Apple devices in June. As with Apple devices, Apple Music for Android users don’t have to pay extra for the new sound quality.
Note that in the beta version of Apple Music for Android, these innovations have also been available since June, and now they are released for ordinary users who are not participating in testing. Apple notes in a note:
With this update, Apple Music will be able to listen to spatial audio on compatible devices, with thousands of Dolby Atmos tracks available at launch. ”
Also, the updated Apple Music app for Android implements:
- automatic smooth transition between songs with partial overlap for uninterrupted listening;
- improved search in the library, allowing you to find your favorite music faster.
In the Settings menu of the Apple Music app on Android, users can access the Sound Quality section with options to enable lossless audio.
