The Brazilian Army is going to mobilize 17,000 soldiers for the September 7 parades that will take place next Thursday. The information is from the anchor of CNN Gustavo Uribe.
With the theme “Democracy, sovereignty and union”, the parade should start at 9 am on the Esplanada dos Ministérios, in Brasília, and simultaneously in other parts of the country.
In the federal capital alone, the estimated contingent is 2,000 military personnel.
This year’s parade will have four thematic axes:
- “Peace and Sovereignty” composed of members of the Armed Forces who participated in United Nations (UN) peacekeeping missions and members of associations that honor the memory of the Brazilian Expeditionary Force (FEB);
- “Science and Technology”, with students from the Instituto Militar de Engenharia, Tecnológico da Aeronáutica and military engineers from the Brazilian Navy;
- “Health and Vaccination”, represented by members of the health service of the three Forces, in addition to “Zé Gotinha”;
- and “Defense of the Amazon”, with soldiers from the Brazilian Army, including soldiers of indigenous origin, from the 2nd Jungle Infantry Brigade, from São Gabriel da Cachoeira, in Amazonas.
In the federal capital, the event will be organized by the Secretariat of Social Communication of the Presidency of the Republic (Secom) and will have the presence of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT).
