The package delivered to the Russian Embassy in Brasilia that caught the attention and was investigated by the Civil Police and the Military Fire Department of the Federal District (CBM-DF) this Thursday (14) is a helmet with a flashlight attached, according to with what was reported by the delegate Maurício Iacozzilli, responsible for registering the Occurrence Bulletin.
The box containing the object was delivered by the Post Office to the embassy, and caused suspicion. The security of the place called the Civil Police of the Federal District around 10 am, which investigated the package with the help of the CBM-DF.
The box was isolated and the Military Police started Operation Petardo, triggered in cases with suspected explosive devices, and the Bomb Squad of the Special Police Operations Battalion (BOPE) went to the building to examine the object.
The package was taken to a safe place for investigation procedures to be carried out, according to the Civil Police earlier this Thursday.
THE CNN the CBM-DF stated that during the morning there was a team of firefighters at the Russian Embassy in Brasília, to help prevent accidents, and the place was isolated by BOPE.
