Promises have to be kept no matter 1, 2 or 16 years pass and for proof there is a video that recently went viral on TikTok. Elbert Jean became the center of attention for the incredible surprise party he received for his 21st birthday.
When he was just a kid, his sisters promised him they’d throw him the best Power Rangers-themed party, but it took an awful lot of years for that to happen – 16 to be exact – and he finally got the best ever.
These sisters kept their promise
During an interview, Alexandra Jean explained that when he was just a child, his brother was really obsessed with Power Rangers, so for them he was capable of doing anything.
We used to bribe him and say, ‘Elbert, do this for us and we’ll throw you a Power Rangers party.’ Or ‘Don’t give us away and we’ll throw you a party.’
But the years passed and they never gave her the party that they promised so much … until now. The four sisters organized a celebration for him to fulfill their promise from when they were children and they did it in a great way, as they made sure that the whole theme revolved around the series.
It was always on my mind. I remember thinking, ‘One day I’m going to give this kid a Power Rangers party.’

The girl said that initially they thought about having the party in a bar with the whole family dressing like the Power Rangers, but later they chose to change the place to a house, so that there would be more surprises. In the video, Alexandra showed how everyone surprised her brother with their costumes. In addition, there were cupcakes, balloons and even drinks that simulated the characters.

Although it took 16 years for this moment, Alexandra said that they planned it for years, but that they did not have enough money to carry it out, so until now it could happen.
For Elbert, the moment was totally magical and full of emotion, because he had always considered his birthday as “one more day”.
Growing up, ‘Power Rangers’ was my favorite series and when they came out, I watched TV without interruption. Once I walked through that door and realized that this was a promised Power Rangers party, my inner child came out again. It was incredible.
It means the world. It’s like one of those things that I don’t think I can ever afford. He didn’t think his promises would come true, because he thought it was a fun game, but when they finally did, it was a lot of fun.
