“Astronauta”: discover HBO’s 1st Brazilian animation series

The new production “Astronaut” It will be the first animated series produced by HBO. Aimed at an adult audience, the animation will bring together the actors Marco Pigossi and Mel Lisboa as part of the original voice cast.

In “Astronauta”, after members of the Brazilian Space Research Agency (Brasa) disappear on a mysterious mission to the Moon, strange visions begin to disturb Pereira, an astronaut recently removed from the organization.

Now that his colleagues are in urgent need of rescue, he sees the perfect opportunity to head into space to understand the strange abduction he experienced five years earlier. What he didn’t imagine was that he was heading into a trap created by an alien entity capable of putting not only his mind at risk, but also all of humanity.

“Astronauta” will release the first episode in October 18 and, from then on, one per day will be released. In total, six episodes will be released. The series is also co-produced by the company Maurício de Souza Produções.

The full cast is made up of Marco Pigossi, as Pereira, Mel Lisboa in the voice of Ritinha, Carol Crespo as Lima, Julia Ribas as De Luca, Francisco Júnior as General Alvez, Marco França as Martinez, Ricardo Sawaya as Watanabe, Nara Kelly as Valentin and, finally, Francisco Freitas in the voice of Cabral.
