At least 29 people were killed and dozens wounded in an Israeli strike outside a school where displaced people had taken refuge in the Abasan district on the southern tip of the Gaza Strip, a Hamas official told Reuters news agency. “The new massacre follows occupation forces’ attacks on six other displaced persons camps in central Gaza, raising the death toll to at least 60 in the last few hours,” a Hamas spokesman said in a statement broadcast by Al Jazeera. Today’s strike occurred outside the Al-Awda school in Abasan, east of Khan Yunis. This is the fourth attack since Saturday against a school complex where evacuees had taken refuge. So far, there is no official statement from the Israeli Armed Forces (IDF) about today’s strike. Last night, they had announced that they had hit “terrorists” who were using a school compound in the Nuseirat district, in the central part of the Gaza Strip. Source: RES
