Democratic senators raised concerns about election in meeting: source

In a closed-door meeting, US Senate Democrats expressed their “deep concerns” about how the presidential race is shaping up, according to a senator.

Lawmakers also noted how their constituents fear that President Joe Biden could lose to former President Donald Trump in the Nov. 5 vote.

The senator interviewed for the report highlighted that a wide range of opinions were raised about the best path forward.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer did not elaborate on his views in detail, the source added.
