At least eight people were killed and 26 others injured in the attack by gunmen buson Saturday, in the Gilgit-Baltistan district of the north Pakistan. A local official reported that the incident occurred in the Diamir region.
The driver lost control of the vehicle, resulting in a collision with a truck and a fire.
Eight people were killed, including the two licensed soldiers on board the bus and the truck driver.

The bus was bound for the city of Rawalpindi, which is south of the capital Islamabad.
Police and rescuers rushed to the scene and took the injured to a nearby hospital. There are fears that the death toll may rise, as some of the 26 injured are in critical condition.
So far, there is no claim of responsibility for the attack.
