The perpetrator of attacks with firearms, this Friday (25), at schools in Aracruz, Espírito Santo, was arrested. The information was released by Governor Renato Casagrande.
“Our security teams reached the author of the attack who, cowardly, attacked two schools in Aracruz in the morning. I declared three days of official mourning as a sign of grief for the irreparable losses. We will continue to investigate the motivations and, soon, we will have new clarifications”, said the governor on Twitter.
Three people died and 11 were injured , according to the city government. The Civil Police, the Military Police, the Fire Department and other bodies work to assist the victims.

The city of Aracruz confirmed the attack on two educational institutions, the State Elementary and Middle School (EEFM) Primo Bitti and the private school Centro Educacional Praia de Coqueiral (CEPC), both in the Coqueiral neighborhood.
According to the state Secretary of Public Security, the gunman managed to enter the first school, EEFM Primo Bitti, after breaking the lock on the gate. He opened fire in the staff room, leaving two teachers dead and nine injured.
The gunman proceeded to the second school by car, where he killed a 12-year-old child and left two people injured, with no information on their ages.
The Military Police said that the author of the crime has already been identified as a student on the afternoon shift at EEFM Primo Bitti, who fled in a gold-colored Renault Duster vehicle with the license plate covered towards the shore. Searches in an attempt to find him are ongoing.
He reportedly used a semi-automatic pistol, and was wearing camouflage clothing and his face covered at the time of the crime.
The mayor of the city said that one of the victims in a more serious condition, with three shots to the head, was taken by helicopter to the state capital, Vitória. The other victims were taken to hospitals in the region.
He also contacted the governor, Renato Casagrande, to request reinforcement of policing in the municipality.
