The Extraordinary General Meeting of the members of the Cooperative Bank of Chania was successfully held, which approved and ratified with a percentage of 98.39%, all the acts of the Board of Directors to date, in the context of the intended merger of Bank of Chania with “Pancretan Bank A. Ε. “.
He authorized the Board to take any other action required in the context of the implementation of the intended merger. The final decisions regarding the merger process will be taken by newer decisions of the Boards of Directors and the General Meetings of the two Banks, after the completion of the procedures provided by law.
“Today’s decision is the most important decision that has been taken so far at the General Meeting of the Bank of Chania”, said the Chairman of the Board. of the Bank, Mr. Michael Marakakis commenting on the decision of the General Meeting and added: “It was decided today, the two banks of Crete to join forces to create a credit institution that will play a leading role not only in Crete but at the national level. the 5th largest bank in the country, a modern credit institution that will mainly support small and medium enterprises and will contribute significantly to the prosperity and development of society and the economy. ”
