Due to US sanctions, Russian bank apps are being removed from app stores. And if in the case of Android this is not a very big problem (since you can download the application bypassing Google Play), then for iPhone and iPad owners it is much more significant – alternatives to the App Store on iOS are prohibited. However, VTB has found a way to provide easy access to a digital bank on mobile platforms – a bot for Telegram. It is reported by RBC.
So far, the service has not launched, but its deployment will take place in several stages. At first, half of the functions most requested by customers will be available, including checking the balance, transferring money through the SBP and replenishing the phone. In the future, there will be others: generating a QR code and paying for it, transaction history, transfers between accounts and me2me from a personal card in another bank.
It is expected that all frequently used functions will appear in the Telegram bot by the end of 2023.
