In Montenegro, presumably the founder of Terraform Labs, Do Kwon, was arrested, said the country’s Minister of the Interior, Filip Adzic. The creator of the Terra (UST) and Luna cryptocurrencies, which collapsed the crypto market in May 2022, has been wanted by Interpol for several months, writes RBC Crypto.
According to him, the former “king of cryptocurrencies”, behind losses of over $40 billion, was detained at the Podgorica airport with fake documents. Official confirmation of identity is pending.
Last December, the South Korean authorities determined that Do Kwon was in Serbia and requested Belgrade’s help in finding him. Since then, there have been no new reports of the whereabouts of the founder of Terra. Serbia is located to the north of Montenegro and has a common border with it over 200 km long.
After Do Kwon’s arrest was reported, the price of the Terra (Luna) token fell by 7.3%, from $1.4 to $1.3, according to CoinGecko. Terra Classic (Lunc) is down 3%.
