US President Joe Biden has said he “continues to support” the Roe v Wade case law of 1973, which legalized abortion in the country, the future of which may depend on a Supreme Court ruling.
“I did not see the debate today at all,” Biden was quoted as saying by reporters. abortions after the 15th week of pregnancy.
“I support the (decision) Roe v. Wade, I think it’s the most sensible attitude, I continue to support it,” Biden said.
The Conservative judges, who have a majority in the Supreme Court (6-3), appeared during the two-hour hearing to support the Mississippi State Restrictive Act, which could overturn or even overturn the 1973 ruling.
The judges’ decision is expected to be announced by the end of June.
