The singer Billie Eilish revealed, in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel’s show, that performed a snippet of “Birds Of A Feather” during his visit to Brazil . The song is the main hit of his most recent album, “Hit Me Hard And Soft” .
In a conversation with the American presenter broadcast on Tuesday (3), the voice of “Lunch” and “What Was I Made For?” explained that she worked on the love song that conquered the world in the back seat of a car while heading to the show and showed the recording of the excerpt on the program. Billie Eilish was one of the main attractions of the 2023 edition of Lollapalooza Brazil, when she performed her first and only show in Brazil, on a night that broke the festival’s attendance record.
“This is a video I took on my phone from the backseat of an SUV in Brazil on the way to the show a year and a half ago. This is a pretty normal thing for me and Phinneas. [irmão e parceria de composição da cantora]. We’re always working in the most random places. James Bond’s ‘No Time To Die’, we recorded on the tour bus, in the dark,” he said.
The singer also stated that, to come up with the version of “Birds Of A Feather” that became the most listened to song in the world on Spotify, she had to work hard. According to her, the song was hard work and required many versions to be made before reaching the one that made it to the album.
“That was ‘Birds Of A Feather’. That song never felt right, we worked on it and added things in and out. There were so many different versions. What’s funny and interesting and special is that it’s such an old version of the song that I don’t even remember it and it sounds so different. It’s pretty amazing to see how far that song has come,” he reflected. “The earlier versions are almost always horribly terrible.”
