The bass player Rinaldo Amaral, known as Mingau, from the band Ultraje a Rigor celebrated his 57th birthday last Tuesday (3) at hospital where he is hospitalized after undergoing surgery to place a prosthesis in his skull.
His daughter Isabella Aglio, 27, comedian Murilo Couto, 36, presenter Danilo Gentili, 44, and his friends from the musical group showed photos with the musician while giving a private performance.
The band also paid tribute to the musician on their social media and recalled the tragedy that occurred in Paraty, Rio de Janeiro, one day before the musician’s birthday, when he was shot in the head.
“57 years of life, 1 year of rebirth,” wrote the daughter in the photo montage that shows Mingau smiling under balloons, watching his friends from Ultraje a Rigor playing and cutting a cake. “How wonderful that we can sing for you on this special day,” said Andria Busic, the band’s bassist.
Remember the case
On September 2, 2023, the bassist was with a friend in Paraty, when he was shot by criminals.
At the time, the friend who was with Mingau, in a statement to the Civil Police, said that he and the bassist, after withdrawing money, were going to have a snack, when they were attacked. The fourth suspect of participating in the attempted murder, the bassist of the band Ultraje a Rigor, was arrested in October by the Military Police (PM).
He was found after an anonymous tip. The suspect was detained in the rural area of Taubaté, a city in the interior of São Paulo. The man tried to escape, but was detained and taken to the police station. According to the São Paulo Public Security Department, there is another fugitive suspected of involvement in the case.
