The Weeknd announces “Hurry Up Tomorrow”, his new studio album

About to perform in Brazil, the Canadian singer The Weeknd 34, has announced his new studio album, which will be titled “Hurry Up Tomorrow”. The project should conclude a trilogy created by the musician in 2020, when he released the album “After Hours” . In 2022, the sequel to the previous one arrived, the “Dawn FM” .

Along with announcing the title of the new album, The Weeknd shared a cryptic message about the new era, which gives a little more about what he wants to convey with the release.

“Yesterday was 14 years ago. We held our breath and fell into a sparkling sea at night. Tried to cleanse the wounds with melodies and lights, a bulletproof bandage to protect what lies beneath. In a place where the seasons never change, where time has stopped existing. But that’s where the problem lies,” he began in a video posted on social media.

“Today has been like a never-ending spin. I keep twisting the truth, immune to dizziness, numb to nausea. What lies beneath – screams in silence. I look in the mirror and see myself both new and old, stuck in limbo and unable to move. I still haven’t found myself. More songs might help, but what do I have left to say? Woe to me in my gilded cage, right? The thing that once made me invincible has failed at its worst stage. A new trauma surfaces, opening doors.”

“A new path awaits. When today comes to an end, I will discover who I am,” he concluded.

The premiere date of the new project has not yet been announced.
