A boat sank this Sunday afternoon (5), in Guanabara Bay, near Paquetá Island, in Rio de Janeiro.
According to the Military Fire Department of the State of Rio de Janeiro, there were 14 people on board the vessel. Of these, six were rescued by third parties and sent to the Ilha do Governador CER (two women, two men and two children).
Still according to firefighters, two people were found lifeless during the search, being a woman and a man. Six people remain missing.
Firefighters also reported that the call for the occurrence happened at 17:05. Lifeguards and divers from the corporation work in the search for victims, with the support of speedboats, jet skis, boats and aircraft.
In November 2022, a ship collided with the Rio-Niterói bridge and even caused the road to be banned in both directions.
