Bolsonaro greets Moraes at the inauguration of TST ministers

During the inauguration event of four ministers of the Superior Labor Court (TST), held this Thursday afternoon (19), President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) greeted Minister Alexandre de Moraes, with whom he lives an arm wrestling.

When cited by the ceremony, the magistrate of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) was applauded by those present, including the president of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), Minister Edson Fachin. Bolsonaro, however, remained motionless.

Tensions between the President of the Republic and the minister intensified after the Court sentenced federal deputy Daniel Silveira (PTB-RJ) to eight years and nine months in prison. Bolsonaro granted the pardon of the sentence to the parliamentarian.

At today’s ceremony (19), judge Sergio Pinto Martins took office as minister of the Superior Labor Court (TST).

Ministers Amaury Rodrigues, Alberto Balazeiro and Morgana Richa, who had been sworn in administratively during the pandemic, also took office.

President Jair Bolsonaro, who did not speak at the event, decorated the newly sworn ministers.

Shortly after the award, Bolsonaro gestured for Moraes to stand up and shook the hand of the STF minister. The president, who was smiling just before, quickly greeted Moraes.
