Brazil received, this Thursday (23), 4.3 million doses of Janssen vaccine against Covid-19. The new batch of immunizers arrived in the morning at Guarulhos Airport, in São Paulo. With the third shipment of the vaccine arriving in the country this week, there are already over 11 million doses of the pharmaceutical received in the last five days.
According to the Ministry of Health, the doses go through a quality control process, which includes checking the temperature and producing distribution guidelines.
From then on, vaccines will be distributed to states and municipalities in accordance with the planning of the National Immunization Program (PNI).
So far, 315.1 million doses of vaccines against Covid-19 have been applied in the country, according to the Ministry of Health. Of this set, 159.6 million were destined for the first dose and 139.4 million for the second dose. The sum of additional or booster doses amounts to 16.1 million.
